2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the website at this domain. It does not cover any separate contract you may sign with us for planning services, which carries its own terms.
3. What we collect
When you send an enquiry. Our enquiry form asks for:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your wedding date, if you have one;
- your venue or location, if you have one;
- an approximate guest count;
- whatever you choose to write in the message field;
- the language you were browsing in (English or Greek), so we reply in the right one.
Only your name, email address and message are required. Everything else is optional and exists so that our first reply is useful rather than generic.
When you email or call us directly. We hold whatever you send us, for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the enquiry.
We do not collect anything else. This website runs no analytics, no advertising tags, no third-party tracking scripts, and no chat widgets. We do not build profiles, and we do not do any automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Where enquiries go
Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to us by Formspree ([PLACEHOLDER — confirm the form processor before launch]), a form-handling service that receives the submission and forwards it to our inbox. That means your enquiry is processed on servers outside the European Economic Area (the United States). Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Our email is hosted by [PLACEHOLDER — email provider].
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else — not with venues, not with suppliers, not with advertisers — unless you ask us to, or unless we are legally required to.
5. Why we hold it, and on what legal basis
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry details | To reply to you and prepare a proposal | Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Correspondence records | To keep an accurate record of what was discussed | Our legitimate interest in running the studio (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Accounting records, if you become a client | Greek tax and accounting law | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Wedding enquiries have long lead times, and couples often come back a year later.
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement, then for as long as Greek accounting and tax law requires.
- Anything you ask us to delete: promptly, unless we are legally required to keep it.
7. Cookies
This site sets no cookies. It stores nothing on your device, uses no analytics, and does not track you across sites. That is deliberate, and it is why you have not been shown a cookie banner.
If we ever add analytics or any other cookie-setting service, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold data about you, and give you a copy of it;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete it (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- transfer it to you or another controller in a portable format.
Email hello@caribuevents.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα), Kifissias 1-3, 11523 Athens, https://www.dpa.gr, or to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live.
9. Photography
The photographs on this site are of real celebrations. Where a photograph identifies an individual, it is published with permission. If you appear in an image on this site and would like it removed, email us and we will take it down.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. This version was last updated on the date shown above.
